14th Symposium of the European Association for Research in Transportation
We are pleased to announce that the 14th Symposium of the European Association for Research in Transportation (hEART 2026) will take place from 29 September to 1 October 2026 in Paris, France. The symposium will be held in the heart of the city at the Sorbonne University International Conference Center and is hosted by Université Gustave Eiffel (France) in collaboration with Sorbonne Center of Artificial Intelligence (SCAI).
hEART 2026 brings together leading researchers, practitioners, and policymakers in transportation science to share advances in modelling, planning, and operations, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and support for early-career researchers across Europe.
A PhD school and workshops will take place on 28 September 2026, followed by the main symposium from 29 September to 1 October 2026. Dedicated side events will be organized on 2 October 2026 to facilitate networking and discussions with stakeholders from the industry and the public sector. Friday, 2 October 2026, will be reserved for other events and meetings (to be announced)
We look forward to welcoming the international transportation research community to Paris for three days of high-quality scientific exchange, lively discussions, and new collaborations.
About hEART 2026
hEART 2026 aims to promote excellence in transportation research in Europe, with a particular focus on PhD students and young researchers, while bringing together leading scientists in operational research and transportation from academia, industry, and public authorities.
The symposium:
- Provides a forum to present cutting-edge research in transport systems, mobility, and logistics
- Encourages interaction and collaboration through technical sessions, posters, workshops, and social events
- Welcomes extended abstracts of research projects to be presented at the conference (detailed submission instructions will be published soon here)
Held at the Sorbonne University International Conference Center in central Paris, the symposium offers an exceptional environment for scientific exchange, networking and inspiring discussions.
hEART 2026 builds from previous symposia in Lausanne, Switzerland (2012), Stockholm, Sweden (2013), Leeds, United Kingdom (2014), Copenhagen, Denmark (2015), Delft, Netherlands (2016), Haifa, Israel (2017), Athens, Greece (2018), Budapest, Hungary (2019), Lyon, France (2021), Leuven, Belgium (2022), Zurich, Switzerland (2023), Espoo, Finland (2024), and Munich, Germany (2025).
